Temple Celebrates World Breastfeeding Week

WABA World Breastfeeding Week, Aug 1-7, 2014.  Join Us!

In the spirit solidarity the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) applauds our Core Partner Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine for celebrating World Breastfeeding Week! This year WABA celebrates 22 years of coordinating World Breastfeeding Week (WBW)! The slogan for WBW 2014 is BREASTFEEDING: A Winning Goal - for Life!  Breastfeeding is linked to all the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The WBW theme asserts the importance of increasing and sustaining the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding - in the current MDGs countdown, the post 2015 agenda and beyond. If you are organising an event, please let WABA know by making a PLEDGE, which will be noted on the special Pledge Map on the WBW 2014 website. See more information on WBW, and the simple Pledge Form here:

We call on all celebrants to Protect, Promote and Support Breastfeeding: it is a vital Life-Saving Goal!

The Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine is a Core Partner of the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA). The ABM/WABA Physician's Pledge is a vehicle for all physicians to declare their support for the Innocenti Declaration Goals and to "go on record" as a breastfeeding-friendly practicioner.
