Friends of the Academy

Anyone wishing to demonstrate support for the important work of ABM is encouraged to make a tax-deductible contribution. Donors will be recognized once a year in ABM's peer-reviewed journal Breastfeeding Medicine, and at the annual meeting. Donors who contribute $150 or more may receive a complimentary one-year subscription to Breastfeeding Medicine, and a one-time discount at ABM's Annual Health Team Meeting. A total of $80 of the $150 minimum donation is tax-deductible in the USA.

The Maurice Rosefelt Scholarship Fund

The Maurice Rosefelt Scholarship Fund is an endowed scholarship fund. The fund provides financial assistance each year to selected ABM members who would like to present scholarly work at the ABM annual meeting, but otherwise would be unable to afford such participation. It is named after the son of Anne Eglash, MD, a founding member of ABM, and Mitchell Rosefelt, who passed away on July 10, 2004, at the age of 11, after a 19 month battle with brain cancer. Donations are fully tax-deductible in the USA. Donors will be recognized once a year in ABM's peer-reviewed journal Breastfeeding Medicine, and at the annual meeting.

The Founders Endowment

Established by the Founders of ABM, the Founders Endowment will provide funds for educational projects and special speakers, such as the Annual Founders' Lecture. With continued involvement of the original founders, the fund can support new opportunities and initiatives in the field of breastfeeding medicine. The Founders Endowment is now managed by the Madison Community Foundation. For more information, please visit: www.madisoncommunityfoundation.org
